I made this piece when I was freshly coming out of chronic fatigue. I was reminiscing on the very cold diagnoses an outsider would give to this condition of being bed-ridden. Australians don’t like to be lazy and tend to categorize (there’s a nickname for everything) before investigating. There’s a dated yet very strong culture of “you’ll live”, which tends to leave a lot of people on the outskirts. I wanted to point to that attitude in my own way. Let me put my bed, nicely made in front of your path. The condition of being stuck and disconnected from others still remains.
